📊 Positive Behavior Interventions & Support
-
To ensure effective classroom management through positive behavioral supports and disciplinary tools, Midland High School will integrate data-driven academic, career, and technical performance results into the School Improvement Plan (SIP).
-
A school-based leadership team will be established to meet regularly for data review and to guide the positive behavior process. This team will include representatives from the school administration, regular and special education teachers, parents, guidance counselors, and school bus operators, and may also include other staff members, such as food services workers.
-
The leadership team will implement a decision-making process using a data-management system that visually represents discipline issues. This system will facilitate regular monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the school-wide discipline system.
📋 Data Collection
Data collection will encompass, but is not limited to:
-
Average referrals per day and per month
-
Referrals categorized by problem behavior
-
Referrals by location and time
-
Referrals by student and staff
-
Individual student reports by month and year
-
Referrals by grade level
Environmental changes may be made based on insights gained from the data analysis.
🏆 Positive Behavior Incentives
The Renaissance Team will work with administration, faculty, and staff to create school wide PBIS activities and rewards throughout the school year.

At Midland High School, we are committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and productive school environment. As part of our schoolwide initiative to encourage appropriate behavior and responsible decision-making, we are excited to offer an incentive opportunity for students who meet our behavioral expectations.
Pending final approval, we are planning a special field trip for each grade level in the month of May.
✅ Eligible Requirements
To be eligible for this field trip, students must meet the following criteria between August 6 and the specified date of their field trip:

Students who meet these expectations will be invited to attend this fun and rewarding experience with their peers. Additional field trip information will be provided as the date approaches. Thank you for your support in helping us promote a safe and respectful school environment.
